Keele’s new Sustainability Hub

Keele University launched in October 2011 the Keele University Sustainability Hub (KUSH) to promote sustainable behaviour among students and the community. The new Hub, a result of £4-million refurbishment of Home Farm, accommodates meeting facilities, a lecture theatre, exhibition space, study areas and a Fair Trade coffee lounge and is equipped with solar PV, solar thermal, ground source heat pumps, biomass heating and rainwater recycling. The Hub brings together a vast array of sustainability-related research projects and activities going on at Keele.
